The Canadian Olympic Foundation (COF) strives to generate support to meet the technical, scientific, medical and coaching needs of Canada’s high performance sport system and assist Canada’s athletes in becoming ambassadors for sport, healthy living and the pursuit of excellence. The COF raises and grants funds to the Canadian Olympic team, the next generation of Olympic athletes and the Canadian sport system.
Established in 2007, the Canadian Olympic Foundation has granted over $43 million to high-performance sport partners across Canada, including the Canadian Olympic Team, national sport federations, the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institute Network, and the Canada Games Council.
Paralympic Foundation of Canada
As the newly established philanthropic arm of the Canadian Paralympic Committee, the Paralympic Foundation of Canada’s goal is to ensure that the programs, equipment and people are in place to propel more Canadians with a disability all the way from the playground to the Paralympic podium.
The Paralympic Foundation of Canada strives to ensure that Canada leads the way in removing barriers for people to participate in physical activity and sport. Where athletes with a disability once competed on the fringes of sport, today, our Canadian Paralympic athletes stand proudly on the world stage as shining examples on and off the playing field.
