Consumer Fraud Alert
Hbc has recently become aware of fraudulent email activities involving job offers sent by individuals claiming to be from Hbc or from agencies working on behalf of Hbc. These emails are sent from commercial addresses and ask candidates to complete forms and provide personal information. In some cases they ask for money to secure a work permit.
These are fraudulent emails and we urge you not to respond or provide any of your personal information.
Please be aware that:
- Hbc does not charge applicants for costs associated with employment.
- Hbc does not use commercial email addresses.
- Hbc's internal Fraud and Loss Prevention department along with the Canadian Royal Mounted Police have been made aware of this scam and are investigating on our behalf.
