Zero Waste

In 2007, Hbc’s home office location became the first in Canada to receive the zero waste certification. With 31 floors of office space, some of which contain other companies, the challenge was to simplify the messaging so that all employees would participate in recycling. Hbc associates are encouraged by members of the management team, who ask for feedback regularly. Additionally, associates can follow a chart located in their kitchens to help them understand how to sort materials for recycling.
